Infant Development class "Discovering Movement" (3–6 months)

Description

Discover Movement is a five-week, hands-on infant development course for parents and babies from three to six months. During this stage, babies begin discovering new possibilities: reaching, turning, shifting their weight, rolling and exploring their surroundings. This course will help you understand how these movements develop and how to support them without positioning, forcing or rushing your baby. We will explore: • How to make tummy time more comfortable and purposeful • Reaching, weight shifting and using both sides of the body • The foundations of rolling and independent movement • Body awareness, coordination and balance • How everyday play and handling influence development • What to notice if your baby consistently prefers one side • How to choose activities and environments that encourage exploration • Simple games you can continue at home This is not an exercise class and it is not about training your baby to reach milestones sooner. Every activity is baby-led and adapted to your baby’s comfort, abilities and developmental stage. Parents will learn how to observe movement more confidently and create opportunities for their baby to discover what their body can do.
